How To Create System Restore Point

This feature allows the computer to go to a previous “Restore Point” to undo any changes to a computer that cannot be done by a simple delete. System Restore is used when a computer has problems from any changes, such as newly-installed software or drivers. System restore is also the first defense against a malware attack. We have six easy steps on how to create system restore point.

How To Create System Restore Point

1. Open the Start menu.

2. Right Click on “Computer,” or “My Computer” on older operating systems.

3. Select “Properties.”

4. Click “System Protection” under the “Control Panel Home.”

5. Click “Create” to create a restore point.

6. Name your restore point. Under these settings, your computer will be restored to the exact point at which you create the restore point. You will be able to see the date and time that the restore point was created, so you can have a better idea of what programs will be on your computer when you decide to use System Restore.

Note: You can set multiple restore points so that you can choose to restore your system to its more recent settings.

1. Open the Start menu.

2. Click on “All Programs.”

How To Diagnose Power Steering Problems

We typically take power steering for granted, never realizing how helpful it really is until it goes out on us. It is very important to figure out how to diagnose power steering problems so that you can get your vehicle fixed as soon as possible. Unfortunately, it is not as easy as other common automobiles chores, like changing the oil.

You’ll need:

– A floor jack

– Two jack stands

– Flashlight

– Rag

– A friend

How To Diagnose Power Steering Problems:

1. First, check the power steering fluid. Being low on fluid makes it a lot harder to turn the steering wheel. Be sure to turn the wheel left and right several times after adding extra fluid to work the fluid into the system.

2. Open the hood and start the car. While a friend turns the steering wheel for you, listen at the steering pump. If the pump is whining loudly, you need to adjust the belt because it’s probably out of place.

3. Use the floor jack to lift the front of the car and support it with the stands. While a friend wiggles the wheels for you, inspect the wheel assembly connection and the steering assembly. Be on the lookout for anything loose or wiggly, because the whole thing should stay solid as the wheel moves.

4. Check out all of the hoses and pipes around the steering assembly to check for leaks. Use the flashlight for this, since it’ll probably be pretty dark and dirty under there.

5. Use the rag to clean the steering components completely, then check under the car again a few days later. This will make it clearer if you have a leak.

6. Whatever you find loose, torn, or broken, make a note of it and take a photo if you can.

3. Windows are not the only place where the outside air can get inside your house. Check for cracks in the wall. After that, check to see that there are no unnecessarily large gaps between the door frame and the door to the basement (if you have an external door to your basement).

4. Any cracks in the walls, windows, or door frames can be fixed by adjusting the frames or using epoxy sealant. Apply the sealant over the cracks and let it dry for a couple of days. Of course, if your basement is already humid, it may take longer for the epoxy seal to dry.

5. If you are using a dehumidifier, try using a heater instead during the colder months. This is because dehumidifiers do not work at low temperatures. A heater will dry up the dampness, effectively performing the same task as a dehumidifier while also warming your basement.
